GEBI ADVICE AND RECOMMENDATIONS FOR HOLDING THE COCA STRANER:

Disinfection:

Before the cocks move in, the facility should be thoroughly washed. After that, the walls, floors, roof and equipment are washed with disinfectant for that purpose. Special disinfectants are used to wash the equipment. Afterwards, it is necessary to rinse everything with clean water and let it dry.

Daily control in the facility:

Check at least once a day: • The health status of the cock
• Temperature of the object
• Ventilation
• Consumption of food and water
• Lighting
• Will die
• Total number of eggs laid
• Number of eggs with damaged shells

Population:

The population density can vary greatly in the facility depending on the equipment, ventilation and air conditioning conditions, as well as on the management.

Body mass of chickens during rearing and exploitation:

The weight of the hen during the rearing period and the period of exploitation is very important, in order to control the development of the chicks and the supply of nutrients to the laying hen during the period of exploitation. During the rearing period, it is necessary to measure the body weight of chickens at least twice a month. During the period of exploitation, it is necessary to periodically check the body weight of the laying hen, depending on the technology and possibilities of the farm

Air humidity:

Poultry is extremely sensitive to air humidity, if the air is dry, their mucous membranes become dry and poultry are more susceptible to various diseases. When the humidity is too high, ideal conditions for mold are created in the building. Optimal air humidity 60 – 70 %.

Nutrition:

Feeding chickens with high-quality mixtures, providing as much feeding space as possible and evenly distributing food in the feeders are the keys to achieving high production results. It is important to control the daily consumption of food.

Water:

Good quality water must be available at all times. From time to time it is desirable to control the water quality on the farm. Too much salt in the water can cause permanent damage to the eggshell. For better results, we recommend adding Ž-vitamix or Energomix Vitamin C to the water occasionally, especially after stressful situations, before and after donkey vaccinations or during the summer period.

Lighting:

The lighting program must be well adapted to the needs of the laying hen hybrid and the capabilities of the farm. Information on the exact lighting program should be sought from the coke supplier.

Vaccination:

is a very important measure in disease prevention and preparation of chickens for exploitation. Consult your veterinarian for the vaccination program.

Important!

*according to recommendations for Lohmann Brown Classic. For other light line hybrids these body weights can be taken as a guide and body weight differences of up to +/- 5% can be tolerated
