Mario and Jasmina Jocić started their business in 2003 by opening the entrepreneurial shop Džambo – a small shop on Zelena pijaka in Jagodina of only 9 square meters where Jasmina sells jumbo bags – hence the name of the company Džambo, while Mario still works in a private company. In December 2003, the representative of Gebi, Laszlo Anđal, offered cooperation to Mario and Jasmina – to become distributors of the newly opened animal feed factory Gebi. In order to receive the first truckload of goods, it was necessary to fulfill the terms of the contract. Then it seemed impossible. Nevertheless, after a lot of effort, the terms of the contract are fulfilled and the contract with Gebi is signed in April 2004, when Džambo becomes the exclusive distributor of Gebi fodder for central Serbia. On May 6, 2004, the first tow truck arrived, whose unloading lasted well into the night and in which all family members participated. The goods, from that first truck, were sold for a full 6 months. Then Mario and Jasmina rent a larger premises, but due to the inability to pay the rent, they move the goods themselves for one night to the yard of their family home, which becomes a wholesale warehouse. At the end of 2006, DŽAMBO DOO was created as a legal successor of the entrepreneurial shop Jambo, when the first warehouse was opened in the town of Pojate. Jasmina delivers the goods from that warehouse with the help of one worker, while Mario delivers the goods from an improvised warehouse in the yard of the family’s house in Jagodina. Both of them worked day and night – delivery of goods, managerial work, bookkeeping.
